A hands on clinical course, which explores the aesthetic clinical management of the anterior dentition with direct resin composites.

Learn how to assess patients to optimise treatment success and enhance the functional and aesthetic outcome using modern, restorative techniques. Benefit from hands on practical work, building up anterior teeth and optimising aesthetics by layering.

The course also includes demonstrations of how to use flowable bulk fill composites and a simplified method of cusp build ups, improving your technique and confidence in practice.

Objectives:

1. Discuss clinical assessment of the anterior teeth and planning management strategies.

2. Review the development of resin composites and modern bonding protocols and polishing systems.

3. To demonstrate how to produce successful composite build ups to optimise the shape and aesthetics of anterior teeth.

4. Discuss finishing and polishing techniques of composite restorations.

5. To demonstrate how to produce posterior composites using flowable Bulkfil composites and using simplified method of cusps build ups to produce the correct anatomy.

Dr Asmaa Al-Taie

BDS, MSc, MFDS RCS(Ed), PhD, MPros RCS(Ed), FDS (Rest. Dent) RCS(Ed)

Dr Al-Taie is a Clinical Associate Professor and a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, University of Leeds, UK. She completed her MSc with distinction and PhD in field of resin composite materials at Leeds. Dr Al-Taie completed 5 years specialist training at the Leeds Dental Institute and was awarded the Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry and Membership in Prosthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She was also awarded the Gold Tyson Medal from RCSEd.

Dr Al-Taie is the Clinical Lead for the tooth wear rehabilitation service at Leeds and has interest in rehabilitating tooth wear, failing dentition and patients requiring full mouth rehabilitation to improve the function and aesthetics. She is also involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education and supervision including MSc and PhD projects. She is actively involved in research in the field of dental materials, bonding, resin composites, bioceramic sealers, tooth wear, adhesion, light curing and amalgam alternatives as well as clinical solutions in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics with emphasis on digital workflows in dentistry. She is an author of multiple peer-reviewed publications and provide courses and lectures at various national and international locations.

Customer Cancellations and Course Transfer Requests

A course cancellation request or a request to transfer to another course date, must be emailed to COLTENE at info.uk@coltene.com.

Course Transfer Requests

1. Email received no later than 6 working days prior to a course date

• You will be offered a new course date where there are spaces available and at no extra cost.

• If no suitable course date can be found and you choose to cancel your course, you will be offered a full refund minus the Eventbrite booking fee; that cost will be confirmed in your refund confirmation.

2. Email received within 6 working days of a course date

• If we are able to fill your vacant space, you will be offered a new course date where there are spaces available and at no extra cost.

• If we are unable to fill your vacant space or no suitable course date can be found, your course fee will be retained in full.

You are allowed to transfer your course date on two occasions only, except where agreed by COLTENE, otherwise the cancellation terms, below, will apply.
