Previous work history-
As part of Colosseum dental group UK, I worked as dental hygienist/ therapist in practice but also was one of the lead Dental hygiene therapists offering mentoring and support for our DHT’s. I implemented the dental therapy model at Colosseum and assisted with the roll out across the estate.
I was also a non-executive board member of the medical board for CDUK helping to drive the business forward.
Before this I taught at University of Central Lancashire, teaching postgraduate dental students and undergraduate dental therapy students.
Supervising them in a clinical environment, running the clinic and supervising all aspects of dental treatment the students carried out on patients and also in phantom head.
I also lead the oral disease and complimentary therapies module to undergraduate dental therapy students.
I have worked in general practice as a Dental hygiene therapist since 2006, I have travelled to Tanzania to volunteer for Bridge2aid, As part of the dental team we treated locals in emergency dental care but also trained local clinical officers. I also volunteered at the 2012 Olympics as a dental hygiene therapist, conducting treatments to all the athletes and their team members.
