This is our first peer learning event as part of the Communications & Media support offer. It will be hosted on Zoom by coach and peer learning facilitator Amanda Smethurst. Amanda will be facilitating all the peer learning events across the year.

The session is focused on helping those of you joining the network to connect and get to know more about each other.

There will be space for your reflections on some of the successes and challenges you have encountered recently, and time to work together with your peers to share ideas and solutions.

All you need to bring is a sense of curiosity and honesty about all you do, and an enthusiasm to hear from each other.

We will also use this session to ask you what you’d like to talk about at future sessions, and what communications topics you’d be interested in, so we can start to programme some complementary masterclasses and workshops.

Who’s it for?

Anyone involved in a Big Local place who is interested in learning from and with their peers. The peer learning network has a broad focus on communications, but will also encompass other topics and challenges that you want to discuss.

What will I get from peer learning?

By reflecting, listening and learning from each other you’ll get new ideas about how to face challenges, and to celebrate the moments you’re proud of.
You’ll get a greater understanding of all the things you’re learning about yourself, your project and your community.
You’ll build a network of peers who can offer you support and wisdom along your Big Local journey.
