About this event

Business • Career

Join a supportive, facilitator-led mastermind designed for professionals who want to define, communicate, and uphold healthy boundaries in the workplace. We’ll meet every two weeks to dive into practical strategies, share new content, and hold open, confidential discussions about real-world experiences.

What to Expect

  • Biweekly Sessions (Every 2 Weeks): Consistent cadence to learn, apply, reflect, and iterate.
  • New Content Each Session: Short frameworks, toolkits, and prompts you can use immediately (e.g., scripts, checklists, boundary-setting maps).
  • Open Discussion of Personal Stories: Share and learn from each other’s experiences in a safe, judgment-free space.
  • Confidentiality: Sessions will not be recorded. Participants commit to a confidentiality agreement to protect personal and professional privacy.
  • Facilitated Format: Guided exercises, mini-teach segments, and skill-building role plays tailored to workplace realities in Canada.
  • Cost: $25 CAD for each mastermind session

Who This Is For

  • Professionals at any level navigating workload creep, unclear roles, after-hours expectations, or difficult team dynamics.
  • Managers and team leads seeking boundary-respectful leadership practices.
  • Anyone experiencing burnout signals who wants sustainable ways to protect time, energy, and focus.

Topics We’ll Cover

  • Clarifying your boundary baseline: values, red lines, and flex zones
  • Scripts for common scenarios (scope creep, weekend pings, “quick favors”)
  • Negotiating priorities and pushing back without harming relationships
  • Boundaries in hybrid/remote work and across time zones
  • Managing up and sideways: peers, clients, and senior stakeholders
  • Psychological safety and compassionate candor
  • Boundaries and Canadian employment norms (e.g., overtime, “right to disconnect” trends, provincial nuances)
  • Technology boundaries: calendar, Slack/Teams, email, Do Not Disturb
  • Recovery plans after a boundary breach
  • Micro-boundaries for meetings, deep work, and feedback loops

Benefits of attending the mastermind (short-term and long-term)

  • Clearer priorities and focus: Learn to distinguish high-impact work from noise, reduce context-switching, and protect deep work time.
  • Reduced burnout: Establish limits on workload, availability, and responsibility creep to maintain sustainable energy and wellbeing.
  • Improved communication skills: Practice scripts and frameworks to say “no,” negotiate timelines, and set expectations without damaging relationships.
  • Stronger professional presence: Project confidence and reliability by defining what you can deliver—and following through consistently.
  • Healthier team dynamics: Model boundaries that reduce last-minute fire drills, clarify roles, and promote mutual respect.
  • Better time management: Implement guardrails for meetings, Slack/email, and ad-hoc requests to reclaim calendar control.
  • More strategic career growth: Allocate time to development, visibility, and high-value initiatives instead of reactive tasks.
  • Conflict prevention and resolution: Use boundary-setting to address overreach early, de-escalate tensions, and align on responsibilities.
  • Increased job satisfaction: Work feels more meaningful and manageable when your limits and priorities are honored.
  • Accountability and peer support: Bi-weekly cadence provides momentum, feedback, and real-world troubleshooting with a trusted group.
  • Practical tools and templates: Walk away with ready-to-use boundary statements, email language, meeting norms, and escalation paths.
  • Measurable progress: Track commitments between sessions, review outcomes, and refine tactics with expert and peer input.

Materials You’ll Receive

  • Boundary Script Bank (Canadian context, adaptable to sectors)
  • Meeting Guardrails Template (agenda, timeboxing, “parking lot” phrasing)
  • Priority Negotiation Matrix (framework for pushback with options)
  • Boundary Audit Worksheet (workload, time, communication, relationship)

Community Agreements

  • Confidentiality: What’s shared in the group stays in the group. No recording.
  • Consent & Respect: Ask before advising; challenge ideas, not people.
  • Practicality: Focus on usable strategies you can test in two weeks.
  • Inclusivity: We welcome diverse roles, sectors, and identities across Canada.
