Welcome to Maternal Medicine and Midwifery Care!

Date: 4th and 5th of December 2025, 09.00-16.30

The North East London Maternal Medicine Network invite you to attend the upcoming Maternal Medicine and Midwifery Care course. This two day course is aimed at midwives from any clinical background and level of experience, and will feature lectures from regional and national specialists in complex pregnancy.

Topics include:

Hypertension
Cardiac disease
Epilepsy
Liver disease
Renal disease
Haematological disorders
Inflammatory bowel disease
Acute presentations
Inequalities in maternal medicine
Maternal medicine networks

Lunch is included within the ticket price. All proceeds are donated to the East London International Women's Charity (ELLY), who work to improve the quality of maternal healthcare in the UK and internationally.

Does the ticket price include both days?

Yes. This course costs £50 per person and this covers both the 4th and 5th of December.

Can my employer pay for this course? Can I take study leave to attend?

Both of these questions will need to be answered by your individual line manager. Midwives are very welcome to attend in their own time and to self fund, however please discuss this with your line manager to see if study leave and cover of the cost is available to you.

What happens if I have a dietary requirement?

Is the venue accessible?

Yes, the venue is accessible to all via ramps and lifts.

Can I attend just one of the days?

Yes, however you will be charged for the full course.
