Event description

Description

Cognitive load theory has been described as ‘the single most important thing for teachers to know’. Research suggests that cognitive overload is one of the main reasons why students struggle to acquire and retain lesson content

At this one day course, delegates will be introduced to cognitive load theory and will discuss how it can support teaching.

At this course delegates will cover the following:

  • What is cognitive load theory?
  • What role does it have in learning?
  • What are working memory and long-term memory?
  • How can teachers design lessons to reduce cognitive load?

The cost of this course is £100 (plus VAT and booking fee). We are currently offering a 20% discount for "Early Bird" bookings.

If you are booking on behalf of an Elliot Foundation Academy, please select "The Elliot Foundation member of staff" ticket option and, on the booking form, select the "Invoice Option" to make payment.
