Exploring mathematical patterns
What fascinates you about mathematical patterns?
We live in a world surrounded by mathematical patterns that shape and control our existence. Discover the wonder, beauty and magic of some of these patterns and where they occur, sometimes in the most unexpected of circumstances.
Starting with discovering some of the fascinating patterns in Pascal’s Triangle, participants will then be encouraged to help others discover some of the mathematical patterns that fascinate them, or that they would like to find out more about.
Benefits to children
During the course of this workshop, children will have the opportunity to work individually or in groups to develop their problem solving and thinking ability. They will be encouraged to lead others through sharing their own learning and fascination, and experience the enjoyment of seeing others making their own discoveries.
