Maths: An introduction to bar modelling

Delegates will be taken through the foundations of bar modelling beginning with how they develop from the use of concrete manipulatives. They will then work on developing conceptual understanding of the four operations, fractions and ratio.

​By the end of the session, they will see that bar models can be used to develop a consistent model to look at a wide variety of mathematical structures.
