Maths Conference

By The Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust

Overview

This session is for DSAT Maths leaders

This event will be hosted by Jane Dhillon and the Maths Steering Group.

Face to face conference consisting of evidence-based discussion and expert-led CPL.

In our second conference we will build yet further on our understanding of unit planning, the maths (generalisations including geometry) and the DSAT Maths TLA Blueprint. Focussed hub work will enable effective implementation by subject leaders back in their schools/hubs.

Pre-Reading: TBC

If you require a Disabled parking space or have additional access needs, require any adaptions to make the day more accessible for you, or if you have any allergies we need to be aware of, please let Siobhan know on office@dsat.org.uk .

Enquiry Question: how do we enable all children to think mathematically within mastery lesson design, and how do we effectively implement this?

Desired outcomes:

1. To improve maths subject knowledge (unit overview planning)

2. To deepen understanding of maths teaching (mastery lesson design)

3. To increase the impact of maths subject leadership (schools)

4. To effectively collaborate within hubs (maths HIP)
