Maths in Context Project - London Information Event
Tue 28 March 2017, 16:00 – 18:00 BST
Does using ‘real life’ maths in the classroom improve students’ GCSE maths attainment?
We’re currently recruiting for secondary schools to take part in our new Maths in Context project, a partnership between the Education Endowment Foundation and Money Advice Service, with an evaluation managed by the University of Nottingham, to see if teaching students maths in ‘real world’ financial contexts can improve students’ attainment at maths GCSE level, as well as their ability to manage money more effectively.
Come along to our FREE event at Trinity School in Lewisham to find out more. This will be an informal twilight session after the school day, running from approximately 4pm - to 6pm. Speakers from Young Enterprise and The University of Nottingham will talk more about the project, what it involves, and answer any questions you may have.
