Maths on Toast 'Stay-in' Family Session - Number Character Storytelling
Event Information
About this Event
Get ready for National Storytelling Week by joining Maths on Toast to create your very own number character. Choose your favourite number and bring it to life!
You might want to think about what’s special about your number – does it belong to a family of numbers e.g., odd, even, prime or square. Will your number be a goodie or a baddie? Have fun with other families as you tell the story of your number! For children aged 4 - 12 and their parents/carers.
After the session, take a photo and share on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram – just tag @mathsontoast - or email us your photo and we'll share for you: info@mathsontoast.org.uk
And if you’re looking for more creative maths fun, visit the Maths on Toast website for more craft, colouring, games, activities, tips and ideas.
For this session you’ll need:
• Number template printed from the Maths on Toast website (or you can draw your own)
• White or coloured paper/card
• Scissors
• A pencil
• Colouring pencils, pens or crayons (optional)
• Glue or tape
• Craft materials
When you book, you will receive confirmation. The link to join the event will be emailed about an hour before the event starts. It will be delivered on a video conferencing service.
Help us run more events! Please book one ticket for each person in your group - eg. 2 children, 1 adult = 3 tickets. This helps us to have a clear picture of how many people are attending for future event planning - many thanks!
Please note that these events are for children and no adults on their own will be admitted. There will be a waiting room for admittance. Microphones will be muted but attendees will have a chance to ask questions. Viewers will only see the event artist but are requested to keep their cameras on.
Please join promptly – this event will start on time and late-comers will not be admitted. This is due to safeguarding polices for events aimed at children, young people and families.
Thanks for joining us.
