Reasoning is not simply about arriving at the correct answer, but involves a journey of thought that leads to conclusions - whether right or wrong. It is this process of thinking that empowers learners to understand the 'why' behind mathematical rules and procedures, making learning more meaningful and purposeful.

In this session, delegates will explore how to shift the focus from giving learners tasks to complete, to asking questions that provoke thoughtful and purposeful thinking. By doing so, we encourage learners to explore and justify their thinking. This not only enhances their mathematical skills but also prepares them for real-world problem-solving.
