About this event

Dear Parents,

Let me introduce you to Twimp's Adventure Anywhere Packs, a collection of fun stories and poems that you can enjoy with your children at whatever location works best for you at whatever time is most suitable for you.

We know from personal experience that immersive device based experiences like Minecraft and Roblox is getting harder to compete with and just getting them out of the door can sometimes be challenging enough. So, if you can get them out, let us help with the entertainment.

This particular trail follows Matilda on her quest to find something to paint, it's a multi-part poem that you can deliver at your own pace. Along the way, the Adventure Anywhere pack also suggests appropriate activities that children may be interested in, from spotting wildlife to crafting scavenger sticks.

If you have any crafting supplies, a camera, a notepad and pen, maybe some colouring pencils, we recommend you bring them along too as it will increase the number of activities you can participate in.

All you need is a device per parent, you could use it as quality time with one child, take the whole family or get some friends and enjoy the experience together.

Frequently asked questions

How long will it take?

That really is up to you. You can push through the story as quickly as you like but it's intended to last at least 1 hour. Throughout the trail there are Storyteller guides aimed to help you to know when and where to do certain activities and when to take breaks.

What should I bring?

Water bottles and a picnic is a great start, and of course weather specific items such as sun cream or rain coats. Other than that, anything that adds immersion to the story, maybe they have their own fairy wings?

Will someone meet us there?

No, these are self guided trails. You could think of it as having your own personal assistant to help turn a regular walk into a fun and immersive experience. We've provided some stories and relevant activities, you can craft the experience from there.
