About this event

Join artists Justine Formentelli and Melanie Russell for a fun and experimental cut out collage class inspired by Matisse.

Participants will paint their own sheets of paper, thinking about washes and textures. We'll use these to cut out and create collages, drawing with scissors and using organic forms in the style of Matisse.

No prior experience is required - just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Explore your artistic side and connect with like-minded individuals.

All materials and refreshments are included.

Artist Melanie Russell

Melanie Russell is an artist based in SW London. She graduated with a Masters of Fine Art from The Slade School of Fine Art in 2004 and has been a practising studio artist since. Painting and drawing make up the main body of her work which sits between abstraction and representation.

Look & Draw workshops are a fun, creative and relaxed environment to experiment with different materials and techniques. All abilities are welcome, even if you think you can't draw, Melanie will encourage you to find your own drawing style and language.
