Please join us for the first meeting of the South London MatNeo Local Learning System.

As part of the MatNeo Collaborative we are hosting the first gathering of south London’s Local Learning System. This is an opportunity for colleagues across organisations, networks and specialties to come together, explore common issues, share and learn peer to peer and collaborate on a larger scale.

What is MatNeo?

MatNeo refers to the Maternal and Neonatal Health Safety collaborative; a 3 year national programme led by NHS Improvement and supported by local Patient Safety Collaboratives. Working with all maternity and neonatal services in England, it aims to support teams to provide safe and reliable care, create the conditions for continuous improvement and contribute to the national ambition of reducing the rates of maternal and neonatal deaths by 20% by 2020. What is the Local Learning System?

The Local Learning System is an essential part of the MatNeo collaborative. It is an opportunity for different parts of the system to come together, share, learn and collaborate.

It has three main aims:

Enable sharing and learning peer to peer across organisations and professional groups
Increase local quality improvement capability and confidence
Facilitate system-level collaboration and improvement

In South London we want the Learning System to be designed by and led by you so this is your chance to make a real impact.

Who’s invited?

This event is open to all individuals involved in the MatNeo programme and wider system. That includes but is not limited to:

Trusts in wave 1, 2 and 3, their improvement leads, teams and sponsors
Women and families
Maternity Clinical Network
Neonatal ODN
LMS’s and system leaders

What’s next:

This is not the only opportunity to get involved. The Local Learning System will meet quarterly with an opportunity once a year to meet pan-London to strengthen collaborations.
