Matreya (FKA Mason Noise from X Factor)+ Becca James + Samuel Ashton- LIVE!

Overview

This December, Hyde Park Book Club in Leeds hosts an inspiring five-artist bill of rising UK independant artists.

From Darkness to Light — a warm, stripped-back night in Leeds where five rising artists deliver unforgettable, soulful performances.

About the Artists:

Matreya

(formerly Mason Noise, The X Factor)
Soulful, cinematic R&B with subtle Afro and world influences, carried by a soaring, emotional vocal- intimate, honest and deeply expressive.

This is Matreya’s first Leeds show in almost a decade- a rare performance in a stripped-back setting. He returns with an emotional, minimal set that brings his voice and storytelling into a close, personal space. Songs laid bare, emotion at the centre.

Becca James weaves ethereal vocals and atmospheric alt-pop with lunar cycles, goddess archetypes and rich sonic textures- praised by Clash as ‘recalling Florence & The Machine at her spiritual best.’

Samuel Ashton A rich, powerful blues-soaked voice with warmth and soul. Samuel’s acoustic shows have sold out across the UK, offering timeless songwriting and heartfelt delivery- and he will soon represent the UK at the World Busking Championships.

Also featuring Leeds Conservatoire artists Ada Blue and Mya Mistry, adding two exciting new voices to the bill.

Expect intimate, stripped-back performances, honest storytelling and a deep sense of connection - five soulful, powerful voices uniting for a truly special night of music.
