Description

**To book tickets for this event, please contact Berit Eik directly at info@beriteik.com**

There are the objects we care about. The objects we quarrel about. Discarded objects. Found objects. The objects we don’t know how to relate to anymore. The things we imagine.

Matters of Things is an interactive and experimental performance installation revolving around a collection of broken and fragmented objects normally relegated to the peripheries of everyday life. By playing with the notion of dormant stories embedded in our material surroundings, Matters of Things reposition these objects at the centre of our attention. What defines the being and becoming of an object, and why does it matter? In this liminal space between trash and treasure, objects and things, participants are invited to explore, imagine, and negotiate meaning.

Berit Eik is a Norwegian theatre practitioner and facilitator currently based in London. Drawing from puppetry, visual arts, and applied theatre, her ongoing practice explores the potentiality of everyday objects to resonate worlds. Berit holds a BA in Directing for Stage from UNA (Argentina) and a BA & PGCE in Drama Education from HiOA (Norway). As a member of Wolf and Water Arts Company she has gained international work experience within the applied arts.
