Maven Session: Wreath Workshop with Gathered Floral

We're excited to welcome the wonderful Hannah from Gathered Floral back to Maven for another workshop.

Here's a little about the event, in Hannah's words:

I am firm believer that the best way to enter the festive period is by slowing down and embracing the dark cosy evenings (& perhaps enjoying a mulled wine with a friend or two). Maybe I’m a bit biased but I also think the perfect way to do so, is by getting your hands dirty and creating your very own wreath for your front door!

Throughout this workshop, I spend time taking you back to basics where you will learn how to create your own moss base; make your wreath from hardy, seasonal foliages; add your own decorative elements like dried hydrangeas, oranges and rosehips, and do it all in a way that puts the creativity in your hands. There is plenty of space and time to put your own spin on your wreath and make it uniquely yours - I like to let you do your own thing!

My rule of thumb is that nothing should ever be too perfect, always aiming to leave things ‘a little undone’ and embrace all the lovely wildness that nature offers us. So, if you are at all worried about not feeling creative, my hope is that this hour or two allows you to take a bit of time to rest, get away from the madness in the run up to Christmas and create something beautiful that you get to take home and enjoy! All materials are provided and you do not need any experience whatsoever - in fact, I think its always a bit more fun if you don’t have a clue!

There’ll be lots of ribbon, lots of eucalyptus, lots of pinecones and perhaps a wee bit of mess along the way! If this sounds like something you or a friend would love, you will be so welcome.
