Maverick X Snowdonia 10km
Sat, June 3, 2017, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM BST
The Snowdonia National Park known as Eryri in Welsh, a name that can be translated as “the place of the eagles”.
The park which covers 838 square miles is one of three national parks found in Wales, and the oldest - being designated in 1951. The area of the Snowdonia National Park has so much to offer the trail runner that if you are visiting for the first time you will wonder why it took you so long.
The marathon route will summit Mt Snowdon and see you head down and cross over the mighty Glyder Faw, your second Peak at 1000m. We are pretty confident that this is the toughest marathon that Snowdonia has seen.
The landscape is breathtaking and unique. There are nine mountain ranges here and they cover over half of the national park’s surface.
But the mountains are not the only reason people are enchanted by this landscape. There are many river gorges, waterfalls and valleys. Forests are filled with ash, oak, rowan and hazel trees.
We have 3 routes for you to choose from, please select carefully the X-Series is not for the faint hearted. You can expect up to 4 on-course hydration and nutrition outposts provided by Skratch Labs. There will also be prizes for the winners of each distance, male and female.
