Event description

Description

The Maximising Student Success through the Development of Self-Regulation one day event will take place on September 20, 2019 at Edgbaston Park Conference Centre, University of Birmingham, from 9am to 5.00pm

During this one day event we will share the outcomes of an Office for Students project that looked at how the design of assessment can be used to support reductions in differential learning outcomes; our focus was on low socio-economic class students and BME students, and involved the Universities of Southampton, Surrey and Kingston. The day will cover features of integrated assessment feedback designs that can be developed to support all students and lessons learnt in scaling this up. The afternoon session will allow focused time for groups to come together to discuss specific aspects of assessment to include assessment literacy, self-regulatory approaches to learning for staff and students, and student-staff engagement and partnerships in assessment.

Places are limited so please, do make sure you apply within good time. Please follow the Eventbrite link and complete the application form. We will be in touch as soon as possible to confirm places.
