This start-up seeks to rectify the poor performance and high cost of current tidal energy designs.
Despite years of research and huge investment, there is still no tidal energy source connected to the National Grid.
The Company believes it now has a design that will challenge the existing horizontal-axis turbine concepts.
Market Sector: Financial Services
Using Artificial Intelligence, this Company aims to bring all the benefits of Private Banking to the general public who need help to manage their money.
It will answer their financial questions and helps them set financial goals, by utilising big data and machine learning.
In short, it is the ’Siri’ of Financial Wellness.
Market Sector:- Motor Trading
Formed in 2012 this Company has devised a cloud-based solution that provides the consumer with an easy and trusted way of selling his/her car.
The seller can promote their vehicle to over 700 dealerships that have already registered with the platform and any who are interested can bid through a closed bidding system.
The consumer is then presented with the top bids and can then sell to their preferred dealer at the offered price.
Dealers pay the Company a fee and pay the consumer directly for the asset.
Market Sector: - Confectionery
This Company founded by a graphic designer, turned cake artist has been in business for nearly 6 years.
Client numbers soon grew to the point where it could no longer be run from home and commercial premises had to be found.
Today, the Company is the preferred cake supplier to 15 top London Hotels as well as HNW’s and celebrities in the capital.
Margins are excellent and the Company now wants to build on this I success by raising £500K.
There are in-depth questions and follow-up on each presentation. It completes the first part of the evening. Investors then relax over a 2 course private dinner with wine.
