About this event

Do you want to get some headspace but find your mind racing?

Have you tried traditional meditation but just can't switch off?

Join Libby from Magpie and the Mob for an evening of guided mindfulness and relaxation.

Using creative drawing techniques as a focus, you will be guided through a series of mindfulness nd meditative practices that will allow you to shut off and get the headspace you need.

About the tutor

Libby was previously an Art Teacher, and after receiving a diagnosis of fibromyalgia knew that she had to make some changes. Struggling to quiet her mind with traditional meditation, she turned to her knowledge of art and blended the two together. Creating a practice that allowed her to have a focus for her meditation which helped her achieve the stress relief she needed.

Frequently asked questions

I’m really not good at drawing - does this matter?

Whether you consider yourself arty or haven’t picked up a pencil in years, it doesn’t matter. The drawing aspect of these classes is to give us a focus rather than creating a masterpiece. In fact, a lot of people like to throw their paper away at the end to let it all go.

I’ve never tried meditation before - is this a problem?

Not at all! You will be guided by me the entire time, and it’s all about just giving it a go. It’s all about practice.

I’m gluten intolerant - will I still be able to have a treat?

Yes! The sweet treats by Nourishingly Noshed are gluten free, vegan, refined sugar and palm oil free, and we can easily cater to any dietary requirements! No need to miss out!

I have mobility problems - can I still do the session?

The venue is up a flight of stairs, an unfortunately there is no lift available. However, the session itself is done sitting down so you don’t need to be mobile for the class itself.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes! I will email you with details of where you can park for free for the evening.
