Federico Andreoni earned diplomas in organ and piano from the Accademia Internazionale della Musica in Milan; the Premier Prix de Virtuosité and the Prix Spécial Otto Barblan from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Geneva; degrees in organ with High Distinction and Outstanding Achievement, neuroscience, and psychology from McGill University in Montreal; and musicology and music theory from the University of Toronto. 

Federico has played recitals in Europe and North America at venues such as Berlin’s Dom, Washington National Cathedral, and Westminster Abbey; performed multiple times the complete organ works of J. Alain, J. S. Bach, D. Buxtehude, and F. Mendelssohn; played for the Italian premiere of Voices for voice, didgeridoo, and organ by Philip Glass; improvised for the Montreal Jazz Festival; transcribed for and performed movie soundtracks at the Maison Symphonique in Montreal; and appeared as a musician in the 2019 remake of the Canadian television series Street Legal. 

His compositions have been performed at National Conventions of the American Guild of Organists, the EROI festival of the Eastman School of Music, the concert season of the Symphonisches Orchester Zürich, the organ series of Exeter College at Oxford University, the international festival of the Pauluskirche in Darmstadt, and the Santa Rita international organ festival in Torino. 

Federico is Director of Music of the church of St. John the Evangelist and Assistant Organist at St. Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal, Research Fellow at the Department of Anatomy of the Université du Québec, and Research Associate at Gruppo San Donato (Milan, Italy). He has published articles and book chapters for the academic press. His research has been funded by grants from private foundations and the Government of Canada. 

He was awarded McGill University’s Salsinger Tani Gold Medal for excellence in music performance and Olympia Garibaldi-Galavaris Prize for excellence in early music research; and the Honorary Membership and the Bronze Cross of Merit of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem.
