Mayflower 400 - Cultural and Creative Sector Ideas and Planning
Event Information
Description
We are very pleased to announce that we are holding an event to discuss what Mayflower 400 could mean to Plymouth’s cultural and creative sector. We’d like to invite you along to join us at 6-8pm on the 9th June at Plymouth School of Creative Arts where we will be holding an informal session of talks, table discussions, networking, funding and generating project ideas.
Mayflower 400 will be a year-long festival of activity in 2020 which commemorates not just the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower sailing to America, but also wider issues around migration, freedom of religion, persecution and liberty. Plymouth will be the UK lead city for Mayflower 400 and will be attracting international attention - this is a major opportunity to not only showcase what we do, but also for building international links and collaborations.
This event will be a chance to find out more about Mayflower 400, what it means and how it can be of use to you. There will be the chance to discuss ideas, find out about some of the projects and potential partners in the USA and make new connections within Plymouth.
Tickets are limited to a first come, first served basis.
