The Mayor of Derby invites you to join him for his Civic Carol Service. You can expect some Christmas classics, as well as a few surprises!

The Mayor of Derby, Councillor Robin Wood invites you to join him for this year’s Civic Carol Service and embrace the magic of the festive period.
The 2021 Civic Carol Service will take place on Wednesday 8 December at Derby Cathedral, starting at 6pm.
Along with members of the Cathedral team, the Derby Can Sing Gospel Choir will also be present, leading the congregation in a mix of traditional and modern carols.
The service will begin at 6.00pm, doors will be open for guests to arrive from 5.30pm.
Festive refreshments will be available at the end of the service.
There will be a retiring collection at the end of the service, with all funds raised going to the Mayor of Derby’s Charity Fund, which this year is supporting local charity, Disability Direct.
To ensure the safety of all in attendance, we will be following the latest Government advice. We encourage all guests to wear a face covering if they are able, and to socially distance where possible.
Please undertake a Lateral Flow Test within 24 hours of arriving at the event. If your Lateral Flow Test is positive, or you have Covid-19 symptoms, please do not attend the event.
There will be sanitisation stations as you enter the Cathedral, as well as at other points around the building.
