We would like to invite you to a special Mayoral event where we exclusively wish to encourage young people aged 18-21 years old to have their say about the challenges and changes in the region. You will have an opportunity to present your personal views about issues affecting young people directly to the West Midlands Mayor - Mr Richard Parker - over a light lunch of pizza and pop.
The event will take place on Monday 13th October from 11am- 1pm at Our Place, Saddlers Centre, Walsall Town Centre. Our Place is a new initiative which offers a safe space specifically created for young people aged 11-25.
The event will also showcase the new Walsall Youth Trailblazer programme, which offers a range of innovative projects and activities to engage young people aged 18-21 who are currently not in education, employment or training.
The new Youth Trailblazer, is a £5.7m initiative is launched across the West Midlands to help thousands of unemployed young people into work. Tackling the issue is a key priority for the Mayor, who last year launched his Youth Plan to help young people into work.
