Mayor's Duckathon - Peckham Pulse Centre
Event Information
Description
The Mayor of Southwark's Duckathon is an event for everyone to participate in even if you don't swim very well or want to swim as a family. You can swim a long way or enter as a splash in the training pool. Everyone who enters will get a hat and once they have done their duckathon they will get a medal or a special duck.
This ticket portal is for PECKHAM if you want a different pool go back to http://www.southwark.gov.uk/duckathon and choose duckathoncastle, duckathondulwich or duckathoncamberwell. If you want to take part but swim somewhere else choose duckathonmypool.
You can swim at Peckham Pulse on the evening of 14th November 7-9pm or on Sunday 20th November 8-11am or 11am -1pm. If you are swimming a long way make sure you come early enough to complete your swim in your time slot, if you are swimming a shorter distance like 40 lengths see how long it takes you to swim one length and then you can work out how much time you will need.
If you want to swim as a team, book enough tickets for all your team you can swim one after the other or together, but teams should be no more than 5 people. Junior ducks are under 18 years old.
I hope it will be a fun event for everyone, if you are at Peckham pulse on Sunday 20th you will have the pleasure of seeing the ducks from Surrey Docks farm (outside the pool!) and there will be a chance to guess the number of ducks in the pool. If you are a family please book the number of tickets in your family and adjust your donation accordingly.
All money raised by the duckathon will go to the Farm and to the National Autistic Society which are my 2 charities for this year.
Have fun everyone!
