Description
In honour of International Women's Day, the Muslim Council of Britain, UCL Women's Network and Muslim Aid are launching the Women's Conference.
Designed to equip attendees with practical tools, networks and information, the conference will have a range of workshops and talks covering a range of topics!

Join a range of women who've gone through local and national elections, who work in the Prime Minister's Policy Unit and community organisers as they speak about their journeys and the scrutiny attached to public life. Providing practical tips on how to navigate a sphere that often doesn't include Muslim women, this is a chance for you to hear any wisdom they may have picked up along their careers.

Unconscious Bias and Privilege: What Can Men Do? | Fearless Futures
An introduction to understanding some of the ways that women experience inequity and how men can see to become more attune to this so that they can better challenge these dynamics. This will be led by Fearless Futures, an organisation that engages people in critical thinking to understand and challenge the root causes of inequalities.

Join Muslim Aid's Lotifa Begum and Shahin Ashraf, Head of Global Advocacy for Islamic Relief Worldwide, Razan Saffour and Undlebe Iqbal for a discussion about gender justice in a global context. What are some of the challenges that women face worldwide, particularly Syrian and Rohingya women? How are Muslim women creating and demanding change?

In the era of #MeToo and abuses of power going public, where do Muslim women report wrongdoing? What safeguarding procedures are out there? How do we create better balance to ensure the priority of safeguarding and accountability?
