Our monthly film club is back on Wednesday 01/10/25. This month, we will be screening an award winning Romanian documentary from 2019. A fast-paced, real-time detective story about truth, accountability, and the value of an independent press in partisan times; it follows a group of investigative reporters as they uncover the network of corruption and fraud that lead to the preventable deaths of dozens of victims of the 2015 Collectiv nightclub fire in Bucharest, Romania.
As ever, all McDonald Road library Film Club screenings are free, but spaces are limited, so we do ask that you reserve your ticket here. This film has been rated as only being suitable for persons aged 15 years and over.
The screening will begin at 17:30 and is 109 mins long, but the Nelson Hall will be available from 17:00-19:45 for anyone who wants to have a discussion (or even just a cup of tea or coffee) before and after the film.
All films feature English language subtitles where possible.
