Cambridge University Entrepreneurs is the UK's oldest student entrepreneurship society and is known to organize one of the most successful student-led business planning and creation competition in the World. Since 1999, CUE has had over 450 entries and has awarded over £0.5m in seed funding to more than 40 business ideas. McKinsey Venture Academy is a social enterprise competition for students based in the UK or Ireland. It aims to promote creative and entrepreneurial spirit by supporting student teams in launching successful social enterprises in their communities.
The competition is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate univerity students based in the UK or Ireland. We are looking for groups of 2-8 creative and enthusiastic individuals with a great idea and a desire to create change. You can enter with a social enterprise that is at any stage of development: from a brand new idea, to a business that is already running and you are trying to grow.
Applications are to be submitted via www.ventureacademy.mckinsey.com and the deadline for submissions is 14 February 2014.
