McManus Mondays: Leather Purse Making

Please note: This is a two-part workshop taking place on 10 November & 17 November, 5.15pm - 7.45pm. Please attend both sessions.

Get creative after hours in the museum at McManus Mondays. Join Fife-based artisan Jude Gove and learn how to handcraft your very own unique leather purse from start to finish!

Using soft coloured leather and pure wool felt, Jude will take you through all aspects of making your purse.

Throughout this 2-week block you will learn how to create unique entirely by hand – from making patterns, to cutting the leather and stitching each piece together using hand sewing techniques. All materials are included.

Perfect for beginners and seasoned crafters, Jude will guide you through the step by step process of creating your purse, explaining techniques and passing on tips and tricks along the way.
