The Cancer Research UK Shine Night Walk is a yearly event which sees participants walking 10km around the city of Manchester at night, to raise money for cancer research (more details).
This year the Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) will be running a stall and walking alongside the public to talk about our research!
We are looking for volunteer PhDs and academics from the division of cancer sciences to man the stall and walk the route with us! You will be provided with a very snazzy lab coat and glowstick look for the event . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁We will also provide food and drinks for those who sign up!
This is a great opportunity to participate in some outreach and PPIE, whilst getting a chance to support the research we are all doing ⋆˙⟡
The event itself will run from 7pm-11pm on the 10th of Oct, with details on when we need volunteers to follow. The route of the walk is shown below. We look forward to seeing you there!!
This event is open to all division of cancer sciences members, and is not limited to those associated with the MCRC
