About

MDMA - A Deep Dive is an evening training course delivered by The Loop.

Please note: This course is above an 'entry' level course, as it explores MDMA in depth. It assumes participants have basic knowledge of MDMA. Our "Drugs Awareness" course is better pitched at those at the early stages of learning/developing drugs knowledge.

The course is interactive, and our trainers have front line understanding and experience in relation to drug use, drug markets, and harm reduction; drawing on professional training qualifications and many years of experience in delivery.

Our courses are informed by The Loop’s regular healthcare interventions, research and drug testing services, which identify current drug market trends and related issues. This training will be informed by the latest findings from Drug Checking Services, such as The Loop Drug Checking Service.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for anyone who works with, or in environments where people may take MDMA. This includes substance use services, universities, NHS/health services, local authorities, third sector, public health, police forces as well as the nighttime economy; including event management, nightlife venues and organisations operating in leisure spaces.

The Loop develops and delivers innovative health interventions through its drug checking services and related harm reduction advice and support. We are committed to ensuring this is available to the public in a variety of community settings, and that related information is communicated and disseminated widely to reduce drug related harm. Evidence shows drug checking is effective in reducing drug-related harm and The Loop continues to expand this evidence base, alongside partner agencies and with similar services developing internationally.

The Loop’s mission and vision include a commitment to developing a nationwide network of drug checking services that is non-judgemental, accessible and available to all. This requires us to consider equality of access, and through doing so, recognise the challenges and barriers which may exist for individuals and communities. We are then able to consider responses and deliver solutions.
