About this event

The first-person point of view is an intimate narrative device that can draw the reader deeply into a story. But what makes an unforgettable narrator? And is first person the correct point of view for your story?

In this workshop, led by professional editor Lorna Partington, we'll meet some of the most vivid narrators in literature, examine the techniques and limitations of this point of view, and have a go at creating a distinctive character from scratch.

The session is aimed at people with some experience of fiction writing, and it would benefit anyone with a story or novel in development.

If the event is sold out, please join the waiting list. If there is sufficient demand, we will move to a larger venue.

Also booking now: Her, Him, They: Writing Fiction in the Third Person on October 19th.
