Description

Mead is an ancient (and tasty) alcoholic drink made from honey, fruit, flowers and spices.

What will you learn?

Come and learn everything you need to know to try this traditional skill at home, from choosing and sterilizing equipment to picking the right ingredients for making your own mead. There will be plenty of tasting (please walk to the workshop if you can) and practical demos.

Everyone will leave with a small taster of mead and one lucky person will leave with a demi john of mead to mature at home. Our tutor, Dinah Sweet, is a master bee keeper and makes many interesting and award winning products from honey and beeswax.
