An introductory workshop in the making of mead, mans oldest alcoholic drink. You will create from simple ingredients, 7 or 8 pints of mead. You will have the opportunity to taste a few to inform your palette. The ingredients needed are included in the cost. These include a one gallon demi -john with a fermentation lock and honey.

Due to the medieval nature of the Centre's building there are no toilet facilities, however there are some public toilets approx 50 metres walking distance away.

The building is suitable for some disabled access, however this workshop will take place outside around a fire.

There is a pay and display car park at the Quay, very near the Centre.

Refunds are made on individual considerarion but generally only if someone can be found to take your place.

Workshops are only cancelled in extreme circumstances, in which case all monies are refunded.

Julia is an experienced calligrapher and illuminator, who works freelance from her home studio in Sandwich. She teaches workshops to adults and children.
