Meadow Mindfulness Walk

About this Event
This guided walk around Three Hagges Woodmeadow will introduce you to effective mindfulness techniques amongst nature and will teach you how to incorporate these into your daily life.
During this small group (maximum 5 participants) taster session we will:
• walk and take in the beauty of the woodmeadow.
• play with some different ways of noticing our experience and surroundings.
• practice a short body scan meditation.
• have an opportunity to share what we notice with each other.
Mindfulness is a quality of seeing what is happening in our immediate experience with an attitude of kindness and curiosity. This can help us to respond in a way that is more helpful, leading to a greater sense of choice and meaning.
The walk will be led by Laura Harrison who is trained and accredited by Breathworks and is a co-director of the Leeds Mindfulness Cooperative CIC. Laura has been practicing mindfulness and meditation since 2007 and has been teaching Breathworks mindfulness courses since 2012. Laura also works as an ecologist and is passionate about sharing her love of the natural world.
