A day’s intensive drawing course in which we will be working with natural forms in found objects and plants. We will explore the relationship between what we see, what it makes us know and feel, and the material, rhythmical and colour qualities of our subject.
The day will offer the opportunity to work with found or improvised pigments and colouring materials. Students will learn unusual recipes for glue mediums which can be used to bind these materials and make paint.
Mediums which we will use include caisin glue, egg tempera and glair. We will discuss the preparation of these mediums as well as discussing sourcing found pigment and colour.
