Measuring the Difference That We Make: Focusing on Impact
Many of the outcomes that projects or organisations deliver aren’t easy to evaluate, particularly those that relate to improving a person's health and wellbeing. However, organisations which can evidence their impact are better placed to understand what difference they are making, which can help motivate and encourage staff and volunteers and improve services and funding success.
The workshop will give you a clear understanding of what outcomes are and how they link to your organisation’s purpose. The morning is based on the Charities Evaluation Services framework and topics covered will include:
- Why focus on outcomes
- Identifying relevant outcomes for your work
- Methods for gathering, measuring & using outcomes information
- Action planning to implement an outcomes approach
This course is suitable for anyone involved in running an organisation and you are encouraged to send two or three people on the training to help you implement an outcomes focus.
The course is open to all. We have sourced external funding to subsidise learners from Voluntary and Community groups in Teignbridge. For these groups the subsidised cost for this course is £22.50. For all others, please purchase a statutory sector ticket, the cost for which is £37.00.
Please be sure you purchase the correct ticket type. Teignbridge CVS reserves the right to invoice the difference for tickets bought at the subsidised rate when the organisation is not entitled to the subsidies. If you are not sure if you are entitled to the subsidised lower rate, please contact us on 01626 326123 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that all payments must be completed prior to the start of the course.
Generally a maximum of TWO people from a single organisation will be accepted onto any one training course. If you would like other places to be put on a waiting list please email us with details of the extra persons, and if spaces become available close to the date of the course we will contact you.
All FREE courses are subsidised and only available to Voluntary and Community groups.
If you are unable to attend you may send someone in your place or:
More than two weeks notice - full refund less £5 administration charge
Less than two weeks notice - full amount payable.
The CVS reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses, in which event a full refund will be offered. In the event of a course being cancelled, at least 3 days’ notice will be given, unless circumstances beyond our control intervene.
