Description

This free professional development conference from Meat and Education will support your confidence and competence in using and teaching about red meat in the classroom.   The conference will be a valuable opportunity for trainee teachers, non-specialists and more experienced teachers to learn new skills and update their knowledge. Sessions will include:

  • The latest on nutrition and red meat
  • Food provenance - supported by Red Tractor
  • Butchery skills (demonstration) - showcasing the versatility of red meat and providing ideas of recipes that require a high level of skill, accuracy and presentation
  • New Meat and Education resources to support your teaching

Come along and meet other like-minded teachers and get support for the new Food Preparation and Nutrition GCSE as well as KS3 Design and Technology: Cooking and Nutrition.

The conference supports guidelines 3, 5, 7 & 8 of the Food teaching in secondary schools: A framework of knowledge and skills (BNF/PHE 2015).
