About this event
Me&Baby Dance offer creative, fun and therapeutic dance sessions for parents with pre-walking babies, 2-10 months.
Through playful dance interactions with baby, we work on recentering after becoming a parent, attuning to baby, and moving together.
We take inspiration from developmental movement stages and explore these through different dance styles.
Me&Baby Dance was developed by dance therapist and mother of two, Julia Korning, and the focus is to awaken a spark of joy and confidence in moving with baby. Read more here: https://meandbaby.dance/
Come as you are - we know that babies sometimes don't sleep, need to eat all the time, or for other reasons make it hard for you to concentrate. These sessions are accessible and relaxed. Come, enjoy, and take suggestions home with you.
About Julia:
Julia Korning is a Dance Movement Psychotherapist and a mother of two. She set up Me&Baby Dance with her first baby because she wanted a space to be playful and creative together with baby and with other families.
Early parenthood is often stressful and full of practicalities such as sleep-times, feed-times and nappy changes. These sessions are designed to support quality time together, being naturally silly and playful, as well as for adults to enjoy moving to ‘good music’ (i.e. not nursery rhymes).
Julia has a background in dance and physical theatre, and she absolutely loves her job!
Women only
How to Contribute
At The Bridge, we’re all about working together and building meaningful partnerships with the women in our community. We believe that everyone has something valuable to offer, and that means everyone has a role in shaping our work—because The Bridge belongs to all of us. We celebrate each person’s unique strengths and contributions, creating opportunities for everyone to get involved in a way that feels right for them.
Whether you give your time, skills, or financial support, every contribution means we’re working together to make The Bridge the space we want it to be.
One way to support our work is through our pay-what-you-can model, which ensures that our activities and events are accessible to all while allowing space for contributions to go towards helping us sustain what we do. Whatever you choose to give, it all makes a difference.
Want to get involved and contribute in other ways? We’d love to hear from you!
