Event description

Description

Making Every Contact Count is about making the most of the opportunities to make a difference to people’s health and wellbeing. By supporting people to make changes to their lifestyles it is possible to prevent ill-health, improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.

Making Every Contact Count lets organisations and people develop a different way of working with people to address health and wellbeing. Telling people what to do is not the most effective way to help them change. Making Every Contact Count is about altering how we interact with people through having Healthy Conversations and learning how to spot opportunities to talk to people about their wellbeing.

This training will give the champions the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver MECC in their everyday contact with people, enable them to encourage and support others in their team to do the same, and give the whole team the understanding and confidence to be able to make the most of the time they have to empower people to improve their lifestyles.

Taking place over 2 half days of 3 hours each, you will need to attend both sessions to gain Royal Society for Public Health accreditation
