Event description

Description

The aim of the event is to bring together all of our social care providers, practitioners and community colleagues, in an exchange of ideas, knowledge and up to date information about the support we provide to our clients and each other. More importantly, it is a good opportunity to put a face to a name.

This event is also in conjunction with our public health colleagues, who will be delivering some information about their ‘Making Every Contact Count’ (MECC) initiative, which was successfully delivered to our partners in the south of the county in November, 2017. Making Every Contact Count (MECC) is an approach that helps us make the most of the time we spend with the people we support day to day. Empowering them to make positive changes to their physical and mental health and wellbeing.

This event will be a great learning and sharing opportunity to discuss common themes and current issues in adult social care and how we can improve communication with our clients. The MECC event will consist of two timed programmes of presentations lasting about one hour and there will be a market style area of stall holders setting out their organisations’ services and information to share.
