The MedBIC will be hosting an ‘Introduction to Funding and Investment Workshop’ with Price Bailey exclusively for business owners and senior management.

What you will learn

This workshop will be an introduction to crowdfunding, business angels, venture capital and private equity funding and will cover:

An overview of the types of funding;

  • Key differences between funding types;

  • Access to funding;

  • What are the common investment conditions/clauses and equity instruments;

  • The funding process;

  • Timescales;

  • Why some people succeed and others fail to raise funds;

  • What can go wrong;

  • Examples of successes and failures.

Businesses will have the opportunity to speak to experts about different funding avenues and the processes involved.

Business owners, senior management team and finance directors.

About the Speakers

Molly Rushworth - Executive - Price Bailey

Molly Rushworth is a Project Manager for Price Bailey and responsible for assisting owner managed businesses to build and implement growth strategies from strategic planning and investment preparation to acting as liaison between clients and investors throughout the investment process. Molly is also the internal relationship lead for Price Bailey’s investor network – a network of over 160 High net worth and Sophisticated Investors.

Mark Ellis – Research Executive - Price Bailey

Mark Ellis works within the Research & Insights team of the Strategic Corporate Finance department, his market research and analysis helps the team to develop a well-thought out strategy for clients, which allows them to capture significant growth. Using research and analysis, Mark helps businesses to make informed decisions about their operations and demonstrats thorough market understanding when securing investment. Mark is currently studying towards the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, a rigorous qualification focusing on investment management, financial analysis and economics.

Spaces are limited to 10 people and initially we can only offer one space per company.

Refreshments will be provided.

Following this workshop if there is the demand, there will be a second session to follow up with investment readiness and practical guides to raising funds and securing investment.
