About this event

  • 45 minutes

The Guardian Foundation's programme to date has trained over 800 young people to co-deliver fun and engaging media literacy workshops to 4500 of their peers. Our participants have developed key critical analysis skills, resilience to mis and disinformation as well as leadership, teamwork, confidence, organisational and communication skills. Teachers not involved in the project can deliver it independently through our comprehensive teacher guide and resources which we will share in this interactive webinar.

Participating teachers will be sent a hard copy of the teacher guide to use in the classroom.

The session will demonstrate how the guide can be used to follow the programme in full, as well as how various activities can be selected and incorporated into your teaching for those wanting to adapt their current curriculum to enhance key media literacy skills.

The session will include:

  • A breakdown of the programme, including the individual sessions taught and their corresponding resources
  • The benefits to your institute in teaching media literacy through peer learning and getting SLT onboard
  • Guidance in setting up the programme and working with colleagues
  • Flexible delivery approaches and evaluating and measuring the overall impact
