About this Event

Kick It Out are delighted to announce the return of Media Raise Your Game – as the organisation celebrates 10 years of providing vital career opportunities to people from all backgrounds through its mentoring programmes.

Supported by the Premier League, Kick It Out’s media-focused mentoring event will be held at the Sky Central studios on Friday 6 March 2020

Registrations are now open – with further information on the event to be announced soon.

Making football media more representative of the diversity Britain has to offer has been a key objective of Kick It Out’s work for a decade, and the latest Media Raise Your Game event aims to maintain that progress.

Attendees will receive vital information to help them secure a foothold in the industry, including specially designed workshops offering practical career advice, access to support from industry experts and insights into the most important issues in the football media.

The event will utilise a number of Sky Sports leading figures plus many more from behind the scenes, who will all make it an incredible experience for the Raise Your Game delegates.

Troy Townsend, Kick It Out’s Head of Development, said: “Racism and discrimination remains football’s biggest problem to tackle – so it’s absolutely vital that the media are equipped to cover it from a position of understanding. There should be no barriers to employment.

“That’s why we’ve been working tirelessly for 10 years to make working in the football media a career option for people from any background, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved in helping so many people start their journey. But we are determined to keep pushing for change over the next decade and we’re delighted Sky Sports, Britain’s leading sports broadcaster have decided to be a part of that.”

In the run up to the event, please remember to keep an eye on the Raise Your Game official twitter account (KickItOutRYG) for all the latest updates. Kick It Out would like to thank Sky Sports for assisting the organisation in efforts to diversify the football workforce.
