Description

The Editor of the Evening Standard and the Editor of the Daily Mail invite student journalists who would like to hear more about the world of journalism from a group of writers on the Evening Standard, the Daily Mail, Mail Online, Mail on Sunday, The Independent, i, Metro and the Times to come to Northcliffe House where all these titles (bar the Times) are based.

There'll be a panel of journalists taking questions from the audience, an opportunity to tour the building and see the different newsrooms and a chance to network with the professional journalists on hand.

The event is especially designed for journalism students who should bring their Student ID cards plus their Passport or a Driving Licence with them on the night.

When booking your ticket, please select one of the following:

GROUP 1. (40 places)
Arrive Northcliffe House 17.30.
Security checks.
Students escorted to 'Evening Standard' staff Mezzanine area.
Tour of newsrooms, then panel discussion at 18.40 followed at 19.40 by drinks and networking opportunity.

GROUP 2. (20 places)

GROUP 3. (40 places)

Security checks. Students escorted to 'Evening Standard' staff Mezanine area:
then at 18:40 panel discussion (note tour of newsroom after panel discussion if there is time) followed at 19:40 by drinks and networking opportunity.

Groups 1 and 2 must arrive promptly or you will miss the tour.

All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to the London Press Club and The Media Society. The Evening Standard and other partners are kindly donating the refreshments and their services free of charge.

Security Arrangements on arrival
It is important that each ticket holder is named, so that individual security passes can be issued.

Students need to bring their student ID and their passport or driving licence; non students need to bring their passport or driving licence with them in order to pass through security on arrival at Northcliffe House.

Please note that in order for security badges to be issued on arrival at Northcliffe House, all booking details for attendees will be disclosed to Northcliffe House. Personal details on the booking form have been kept to a minimum to require the name of each attendee and a contact e-mail address. In addition a mobile phone number and an office phone number (if any) have been asked for in the event of any query arising or the need to contact an attendee urgently.

All attendees have to go through security, have their bags checked and be issued with a Northcliffe House security badge before they can leave reception and enter the building. Please arrive in time to complete this procedure.
