DESCRIPTION

Unresolved conflicts reduce our wellbeing and productivity, erode teams and manifest in lost profits and relationships.

Conflict of interest over limited resources be it time, money, attention or skills are a given for any social structure and relationship. Either business partnership, start-up team, family, community or nation state manifest values, behavioural patterns and perceptions of their members and leaders. Hence it is worthwhile to be aware of our learned behaviours and conflict resolution strategies that often have become habitual and not serving us and our teams well.

Purpose: Raise awareness of personal behaviour in conflicts and develop communication skills of mutual give and take without suppressing your needs.

GOALS:

1. Identify conflict situations, causes, types and personal resolution strategies in business setting

2. Create awareness of our ability to choose and develop conflict resolution strategies that serve us long-term

3. Access practical tools for balancing mutual needs while in conflict of interests

AUDIENCE:

Investors, start-ups, hubs, accelerators, funds of funds, policy makers

AGENDA:

We will start with recognizing our conflict resolution strategies spiced up with a bit of theory but mostly through experiential play time and sharing experience of gains and losses of different conflict resolution strategies. We will continue with tapping into practical skill building session of communication in a constructive, sustainable way with respect to mutual give and take.

RESULTS:

1. Enhanced ability to recognise personal conflict resolution strategies and to understand their impact on people and systems around us

2. Gained opportunity to exercise a conscious choice for sustainable conflict resolution

3. Practical experience of analysing and communicating ones’ needs and limitations
