A 6 day experiential course which will prepare you to mediate in disputes and give you practice in skills that support effective communication and creative thinking towards the resolution of conflict.
The course will focus on
- The basic principles, philosophies and practice of mediation
- Communication skills
- Questioning skills
- Effective mediation practices
- The mediation initial meetings
- Facilitation of a joint mediation meeting and supporting creative conflict resolution
The course is highly participative and the role play scenarios are drawn from real case histories and prepare you to mediate in workplace relationships, complaints resolution, homelessness prevention, intergenerational conflicts, neighbour and community conflict, student relationships and a whole lot more!
Please note, the course will be run over 6 days - the Wedneday 2nd, Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th, Wednesday 16th, Thursday 17th and Friday 18th November 2016.
Candidates must be able to commit to attend all dates.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
If your booking is for work with a Charity, we require the Charity number and a letter on an official letterhead from a senior member of the organisation.
