Cleveland Clinic London (CCL) invites you to join the Medical Interpreting Training Program (MITP), a dynamic and immersive program designed for interpreters based in the UK who are aiming to develop their skills in the medical interpreting field.
This program consists of eight sessions over two months; once a week from 9:30 - 16:30. The last (i.e. 8th) session will be an assessment in order to obtain a completion certificate for the MITP. Please note, only participants who have attended all seven sessions and completed the assessment (i.e. Session 8) will receive the certificate.
Partners in this program are the National Register for Public Service Interpreting (NRPSI), the London Metropolitan University (LMU) and the Association of Interpreters and Translators (AIT).

Session 1 (16 September, Tuesday): Role of Interpreters & Memory and Notetaking
Session 2 (24 September, Wednesday): Code of Conduct Part 1 & Cultural Awareness
Session 3 (1 October, Wednesday): Code of Conduct Part 2 & Introduction to Medical Terminology
Session 4 (8 October, Wednesday): Body Systems & Medical Terminology Part 1 (Cardiovascular-Respiratory-Lymphatic-Integumentary Systems)
Session 5 (15 October, Wednesday): Body Systems & Medical Terminology Part 2 (Musculoskeletal-Nervous-Digestive Systems)
Session 6 (22 October, Wednesday): Body Systems & Medical Terminology Part 3 (Endocrine-Reproductive-Renal Systems)
Session 7 (29 October, Wednesday): Interpreters’ Mental Health
Session 8 (5 November, Wednesday): Assessment (required in order to obtain the MITP certificate)
